And then there was Gobekli Tepe. How about some relief carved T pillars folks. Surely 11600 years later it would be dead easy to add a bit of being. And hey, they have lasted 11600 years, a bit longer than several hundred.

It only took me a few times before I said "I'm not chiseling another hole" and just used 1 inch drill bit and hand drill. There's no reason to use the chisel to dig it all out that's just a massive waste of energy and was a tool adopted very early on for timber framing. It would be stupid not to use it.

Why when people see this man and see how obviously hard he has worked through out his life, do they look on it as a bad thing? Dealing with adversity, challenges and having to work hard is what builds character. People like this man has learned to live with nature (aka God) and go with the flow of how things work. There are seasons for a reason, the creation has a flow for a reason. Old timers learned to work in conjunction with this. The are what was in season, preserved what they could and “made hay when the sun shined”. Hard work is something to look upon with respect and admiration. I just go back to the old sayings… Tough times create tough men, tough men create easy times, and easy times creat soft men, soft men create tough times… Tough men is why we have the things we have today. Don’t be soft, be tough. Trust in God and have faith in Our creator. Live in the light and trust in Jesus Christ. God bless.

Someone told me years ago about a technique used in Norway. They would submerge (peeled?) pine or spruce logs underwater in cold, fast-flowing streams. The logs were then rotated in and out of the water for many years. This process apparently flushed out most of the nutrients that living organisms eat from the wood. This traditional method was likely used by the ancestors to make the wood last longer, but it definitely needs more research.

Im 28 and besides the skills that this man has confronting the non existant skills that i have, the strenght that he has is impressive, an old 70+ years man is an animal in front of us, scary, borned rich, no discipline, clean and weak boys, at least myself. What a man.
